Irresistible Force Tournaments

Irresistible Force has carved a niche in the Australiasian tournament scene with a reputation of running successful Fantasy tournaments with a difference. With a myriad of tournaments available for Warhammer Fantasy players we have always strived to run events that have unique components to set them apart from the rest.

There are currently two tournaments run annually by the Irresistible Force team, namely Fortunes of War and The Masters. Both of these events were born from innovative concepts and have become highlights of the Australiasian tournament calendar.

Fortunes of War
This tournament was run for the first time in May 2006 and with 50 entrants it enjoyed an extremely successful debut. The unique concept for Fortunes of War is that it is run with an underlying campaign which adds colour and depth to each round of the tournament. The players are divided into two warring factions (Alliance & Horde) dependent on the army they are fielding and as such will only match up against general in the opposing faction.

A complete tournament campaign ruleset was designed and created specifically for Fortunes of War by the Irresistible Force team.

The Masters
The first event in the world of its kind, The Masters was designed as an invitation only event rewarding players who performed well in other tournaments in the last calendar year. First run in December 2004 as a new concept it proved highly popular and very successful drawing players from 5 different states of Australia. In 2005 it was run once again and this time it had its first international entrant with the New Zealand champion making the trip across the Tasman to Sydney Australia.

The Masters is continuing to grow and in 2006 is being run in Queensland, Australia in the city of Brisbane. It has become a fantastic reward for regular tournament players and a goal of many Warhammer Fantasy generals throughout Australia and New Zealand.
